I work as a contract manager in the aerospace industry. I often work with engineers to make sure that a program's needs are met through the resulting contract. I find that engineers and members of the program team find contracts boring and/or "in the way" of doing what the members of the program team needs to do.
I want to break down these barriers and 1) show the importance of the legal terms and 2) make the legal terms understandable so that the teams fully understand the importance of the contract and make educated decisions during the course of program execution
...the alternative is often working "around" contracts and has the potential to put our programs at risk.
