My background is in architecture. I'm architect. Throughout over 20 years I have been serving other designers in the industry. First on visual communication, making their visions into images and animations using always the latest computing power and most advanced rendering solutions. Later on, these days, core focus is on BIM (building information modelling) pipelines including the visual collaboration. From where we get to the point: visual contracts. We know that lot of troubles still emerge at real construction sites specially among sub-contractors when they clash on contract borders. For that to happen less we built an application to capture the spoken promise into a trusted video contract.

Why do you think Legal Design Thinking is important? Why would you want to become one the Visual Contracts co-creators?

In the context of Legal Design Thinking, one can easily see that the current state of legal documents does not meet this standard. There is a movement going on to improve this, and

Traditional Law Practice: Criminal, Civil and Administrative Litigation (70%). Contracts Drafting and Negotiation (30%). New Law: Legal Products Development (Standardization of legal processes/services offered as products).
Most of the legal difficulties faced by people and organizations in Mexico derive from the lack to access of legal information and advice. And lawyer`s bad reputation and expensive fees tends to keep them away. That´s my call after going through 3 different law firms practicing mostly criminal and civil litigation for around 10 years (2008-17). Having a LLM experience (UC Berkeley- class 17) gave me (i) the opportunity to contrast Mexico´s reality and my ideas with a community of top ranked professionals from all around the world, and (ii) the tools
to idealize and create My Dear Lawyers (my proposal to solve people-lawyers distancing).
My Dear Lawyers was launched last November 20th by Co-Founders Luis Rivera, Daniel Guillén Zolezzi and myself. We develop and produce standardized and affordable legal products to cover people´s primary legal needs.

With my team we are working on a new privacy statement and I was tipped by Aegon Global Privacy Officer on this site and subject.
For my education (Master Riskmanagement) I am investigating the possibility and benefits of a more visual statement.
